Irish Freckle was artificially inseminated and we are hoping for offspring between her and New Zealand Cashmere's Adams. The cover buck (in case the AI didn't take) was NORH Flush Roger. FXMF Irish Freckle has DNA Parentage Verified - Sire was confirmed, no dam was a match at time of Foxmoor herd acquisition.

We welcome Torbjorn back to the farm for fall 2024 breedings. From one of our all-time favorite does, FXMF Debutant, we were thrilled to be able to use this buck in our breeding program. Now it is time for his next farm!

Details
Soffi is a small framed cashmere doe with red guard hair over a cream colored cashmere undercoat. She has a white stripe on one side.

Soffi's dam, FXMF Irish Freckle, took first place in the Cashmere Goat Association's 2021 fleece competition. Both Soffi's sire and dam are registered. Her dam's "FXMF" prefix ties back to Foxmoor Farm's red cashmere line, which had been bred since 1991 before Nordic Horn acquired the herd in 2017.

Previous offspring:
2026: NORH Sakke Gränna (M), NORH Sender Gränna (M)
2025: NORH Saga Finja (F), NORH Sorella Finja (F)

Our goats are raised on silvopasture, a mix of trees and open pasture that lets them browse the way goats naturally want to, and we keep our management light on purpose. The herd is trained to both portable electric net fencing and Nofence virtual fencing (a collar-based system that keeps goats in a set area without any physical fence at all), so they're reliable and easy to contain wherever you're set up. When you buy from us, you'll get a full copy of that goat's health and birth records along with our written herd health plan, so you know exactly what's been done and what to expect going forward. Each goat also comes microchipped in the left ear with a small, standardized chip (the same kind used nationally for identification and transport), which takes the place of plastic tags or tattoos and stays with the goat for life.
